Something to Be Grateful for

Two weeks ago, I terminated my contract with the company I was working for because the owner couldn't pay me anymore. In fact, he still owes me. So I've been home updating the resume, job hunting, trying to stay focused, taking advantage of the downtime I have to take care of the things around the apartment that I haven't had time to do, and most of all, enjoying the time that I get to spend with my little girl.

What I get to do, despite the scary situation that I am in, is cook her lunch and sit with her at the school cafeteria while she eats. I get to do it every single day, and it makes me very, very happy. It gets me through this tough period and gives me something to look forward to besides picking her up and taking her home with me.

Such is the amazing impact this little one has on my life. :)
