Super Grateful Sunday - 08.08.2010

This meme was created with the belief that good things come to us when we are thankful. Reflect on the past 7 days, and every Sunday, list at least 7 things for which you are grateful.

"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity…. It turns problems into gifts, failures into success, the unexpected into perfect timing, and mistakes into important events. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow." - MELODIE BEATTIE

Super Grateful Sunday - 08.01.10

I'm so glad Sunday finally came--I have a brand new day, a clean fresh slate. Despite the rough 2 days, I am, as ever, grateful, and ready to tackle The Project again with renewed vigor.

And so, without further ado, and although late, I bring you Super Grateful Sunday.

This meme was created with the belief that good things come to us when we are thankful. Reflect on the past 7 days, and every Sunday, list at least 7 things for which you are grateful.

"The unthankful heart... discovers no mercies; but let the thankful heart sweep through the day and, as the magnet finds the iron, so it will find, in every hour, some heavenly blessings!" - HENRY WARD BEECHER
  1. A fun-filled day at the zoo with the little one.
  2. SLEEP.
  3. HEADACHE MEDICINE. Oh, how I especially love you today.
  4. My boss (client) loves me. He brings me food and coffee quite often and tells me he loves me. What a sweet man.
  5. Free carousel ride at the zoo.
  6. Amber, the petting zoo attendant, answering all of the little one's questions and regaling us with what the goats can do. She made one of them sit next to DD on a bench! How cute.
  7. My best friend, who is always looking out for me.
  8. Having amazing options.
  9. Ending the night with dinner at Mom's.
  10. Being home.

All Work and No Play

Boy, did I have a ridiculous Friday-Saturday. I worked from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., then from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. And THEN woke up 4 hours later to work until noon. Then I took my girl to piano from 1:30-3 (we have a long drive to her teacher's house). When we got home at 4 p.m. I worked again until 9 p.m. This was supposed to have been an easy project that turned impossible at the very last minute. This was a 2-day project and approvals and content were given to us at 3 p.m. on the second day. The rest of the content was given to me within the 2 hours it was supposed to have been presented. My team had it all along. What the @#$^&^%$%*. Thanks. A. Lot.

I'd have to say that I did everything possible that I could have done, and I am not  going to kill myself over this, nor will I tell my little girl, again, who's been waiting for me patiently to do something with her, that I have to work. Now, I have a headache that won't go away and a very temporary aversion to the computer, but I just wanted to pop my head in since I haven't touched my poor blog in a while.

Off I go to the zoo!

Super grateful Sunday will resume tonight!
